The Newmarket Lions Club is a registered charity and has been serving the needs of the Newmarket community for the past 80 years. Being a registered charity, we can issue a tax receipt for all donations. Our largest community programme is the Newmarket Lions Santa Fund. Since the 1930's we have ensured that Newmarket families who can not afford the added expenses at Christmas time are able to provide a Christmas meal for their family, This done by providing a gift certificate which can be used at a local grocery store. Tobacco and lottery tickets can not be purchased. One way companies can help their community is to donate to the Santa Claus Fund. Some companies make a donation or hold a fund raising event such as a barbeque for its employees or collect money for "dress down Friday". An income tax receipt can be issued.
