Tech Triage at the Chamber

Not sure why your technology is acting the way it is? Frustrated because your techonoloy expectations are exceeding your needs? Wonder how you can get more out of your technology including your computers, tablets, smart phones, network and cloud systems? What scams should you watch out for?

We'll identify technology puddles so you can avoid them.

Each month we'll start with a 10-minute presentation on a tech topic with Q&A; then follow that with an opportunity for one-on-one consultation with our expert. The series starts in 2017 and will run on the last Wednesday of the month 12:30pm - 2:00pm, in the Chamber Boardroom. Tech Triage seminars are FREE, but we ask that you pre-register to ensure your spot.

2017 Tech Triage Dates:

Tech Triage takes place at the Chamber of Commerce, the last Wednesday of the month from 12:30pm - 2:00pm.

January 25th, 2017 - Hook, line and sinker - How to spot phishing and spear phishing emails. Avoid becoming a victim and losing your data.

Your Technology Expert:

Bob Kyriakides has been an IT professional for the past 35 years. Although his grassroots are in programming, throughout his careers Bob has consulted on almost every aspect of technology. He was the youngest Field Service Supervisor in Gandalf Canada's history responsible for 8 field technicians, 2 inside support staff, and a service area from Kitchener to the Quebec border and spanning the north shore of Lake Ontario all the way up to Timmins.

Bob's a patient instructor who makes learning about technology interesting and fun. Most prized amongst his super-powers is Bob's ability to translate "geek-speak" in to regular English. Bob enjoys helping people overcome their techology hurdles - whatever they may be. His areas of specific interest are data privacy and security, and heroic data rescue.
