The Fair Workplaces Townhall meeting will be taking place on Thursday September 7th 2017 (8:30am - 10:30am) at the Newmarket Community Centre - 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket ON L3Y 3Y9.

We have heard repeated concerns from members about the potential impact that Bill 148, the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act will have on their operations.

To assist our members, we have organized a Townhall Discussion on Bill 148 for business owners and operators to provide insight into the potential implications of the new regime. The event will focus on clarifying provisions of the act as well as collecting feedback to help frame the conversation around this legislation.

The event will have two panelists:

Karl Baldouf - Vice President of Government Relations and Policy at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce - Karl will speak on the Economic Impact Analysis on Bill 148 and potential implications for Businesses.

Kyle Burgis - Lawyer at Minken Employment Lawyers - Kyle will address how businesses will be expected to comply with the new legislation from an Employer perspective.
