2015 Federal Election Debate and All Candidates Open House

ALL CANDIDATES OPEN HOUSE

The Open House portion of the evening begins at 6:00pm.

Meet the Candidates for the upcoming Federal Election.

Candidates will be on-hand for you to meet and ask questions in an informal session in the lobby of the Newmarket Theatre.

Candidates from all parties have been invited to the open house.

DEBATE

The Debate portion of the evening begins at 7:00pm.

A moderator will ask the Candidates questions on various policies and platforms of interest to the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce.

Questions from the audience will also be allowed, time permitting.

Candidates from all parties that hold a seat in the House of Commons or hold 5% of the popular vote have been invited to participate in the debate.

Our election policy states ”A political party needs to have representation in the House of Commons/Provincial Legislature or proven popular support in the country/province of at least 5 per cent of popular vote in the polls to be invited to the debate. Other candidates may participate at an open house portion of a debate with a display table.”
