NewMakeIt is a collaborative innovation space facility that enables, inspires and fuels entrepreneurship, grassroots innovation and creativity. Members can make use of a coworking space to start, operate and grow their businesses. Members can access the makerspace making use of digital fabrication and woodworking, metalworking and machine shop tools and equipment to develop ideas and work on projects. Members can enroll in workshops and classes to give them the learning edge to be more productive in their entrepreneurs/business or project endeavors. NewMakeIt provides the space, tools and training to make it!

Literacy Council York-Simcoe – Skills Upgrading Centre is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing adults with academic tutoring, employment skills workshops, computer training and soft skills training as means to achieving a better education, a better job and a better life. For 35 years, the Skills Upgrading Centre has engaged and empowered adults in our community as they work to achieve a successful future. With the assistance of more than 50 committed volunteers, we serve more than 550 people annually by providing free customized skills upgrading opportunities through one-to-one tutoring, small group instruction, and computer assisted training.
